This Friday, June 17th Massey is hosting an evening of reflection – screening the CBC Gem Documentary: In Search of a Better World, the remarkable story of Massey Senior Fellow Payam Akhavan, one of the world’s leading human rights lawyers.  

Join us at the George Ignatieff Theatre at Trinity College (15 Devonshire Pl.) from 7:00-10:00pm for the screening followed by a panel discussion with individuals serving selflessly in the world of Human Rights.  

Panelists:   

  • Payam Akhavan – Special Advisor on Genocide to the Prosecutor, International Criminal Court 
  • James Orbinski – Massey Senior Fellow, Physician and Human Rights Activist  
  • Farida Dief – Director, Human Rights Watch  
  • Bob Watts – Senior Fellow, Reconciliation, First Peoples Group   
  • Rachel Pulfer (Moderator) – Executive Director, Journalists for Human Rights
