Jody passed away on Wednesday, July 19th after a long battle with cancer. Jody was a well-loved member of the Massey College Community – joining the 2013-2014 William Southam Journalism Fellowship as the CBC-Radio Canada Fellow.
During her time at Massey, she was an active printing apprentice, was selected as a 2014 Clarkson Laureate and forged a special connection with Senior Fellow Ursula Franklin.
Outside of Massey, Jody will be remembered for her commitment to telling Indigenous and First Nations stories with care and humanity, and facilitating opportunities for Indigenous and settler communities to come together for constructive dialogue through her Common Ground Café project.
