Massey College News and Events

Senior Fellow, the Rt. Hon. Adrienne Clarkson, has been named  Honorary Chair of the National Institute on Ageing – a wonderful nomination which speaks to her relentless commitment to public service.

I would like to  share with you an article written by Wanja Gathu – this year’s Gordon N. Fisher Journalists for Human Rights (JHR) Fellow in the most recent issue of Peace Journalist Magazine. Wanja is pictured below – addressing the audience at the JHR’s 20th Anniversary Celebration in Toronto this past September.

Lastly, I’m pleased to announce that after a long hiatus due to COVID 19 the Massey Choir is back! It is open to everyone in the community – no training required, and no auditions. This is a chance to “make a joyful noise” once a week, together with friends. Our new director is Yara Rubb, a gifted young choral conductor from Lebanon, by way of Switzerland and Wales.

The first rehearsal is Tuesday, October 18, 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the Music Room (Colin Friesen Room). All are welcome!
