Several important conferences coming up in the next few weeks: Healthcare crisis and solutions tonight, inflation and taxation tomorrow, and how to report during war times on November 29.

It is with sadness that I write to let you know that Senior Fellow Trevor Levere passed away on November 1st. Please join me in passing our condolences to his wife Jennifer and children Kevin and Rebecca. A celebration of life will be planned for spring 2023. You can read his full obituary here.

A number of Massey Fellows named in Toronto Life this month: Senior Fellows Tiff Macklem, Margaret Atwood, Ron Diebert, and Brigitte Shim https://torontolife.com/city/the-50-most-influential-torontonians-of-2022/ . The 2020 CBC Massey Lecturer and Senior Fellow Tanya Talaga is named, and our Writer-in-Residence David Chariandy is given a special mention for the movie adaptation of his award-winning novel Brother.

Applications for New Junior Fellows will open on December 1, 2022. We encourage you to reach out to those in your networks for exceptional students who are attending or will be attending graduate school or professional programs at U of T next year.
