It is with sadness that I write to you about the passing of Stephen Waddams. Stephen was a University Professor at the Faculty of Law and a Senior Fellow here at Massey College. Please join me in sending condolences to his family and friends. Stephen’s full obituary can be read here.

Massey College Alumni Association Annual General Meeting and BBQ

To kick off our 60th Anniversary Celebrations, the Alumni Council invites everyone to attend the summer BBQ and AGM!
Please consider getting involved, The Massey College Alumni Associate are looking for new Council members (details via link). There will be virtual access to the AGM for those who cannot attend in person. Family and guests are welcome to the BBQ.
Kriegsfilme – Massey’s war movie club will be hosting a special event in September. They have a bracket for the community to vote for which movie you’d like to see. Everyone is invited to participate.

Junior Fellow Giancarlo Da-Ré won gold at the IE/NATO Safer Tomorrow finals in Madrid on NATO’s tech future. His pitch was for unmanned, green surveillance technologies for interoperable early warning systems intelligence in areas where NATO’s human resources are stretched thin.
Junior Fellow Sourojeet Chakraborty recently successfully defended his PhD. In complex fluids, U of T Department of Chemical Engineering.
Junior Fellow Chukwunonso Nwabufo’s startup OneDrug (https://ca.linkedin.com/company/onedrug) received the BFN Smart Start Award to support the development of smart point-of-care devices for the rapid identification of patients at risk of adverse drug effects. https://entrepreneurs.utoronto.ca/meet-the-twelve-bfn-smart-start-awards-recipients-for-2023/
