RSC Dialogues @ Massey
Working Together to Improve the Health and Well-Being of the Elderly
We have now opened registration for the inaugural RSC @ Massey Dialogues. RSVP below to join us at Massey College on October 5th for a bilingual event: Working Together to Improve the Health and Well-Being of the Elderly.
The UN Decade of Health Aging (2021-2030) is seeking “to reduce health inequities and improve the lives of older people, their families and communities through collective action.”
While healthy aging is a major challenge in Canada and globally, children and youth are also confronting significant issues and barriers to health and well-being. This dialogue will explore the issues confronting the aging population including how these issues are exacerbated by poverty, racism and the social determinants of physical and mental health.
Join Alain Noël and Carol Estabrooks in conversation, I will moderate.
This event will also be livestreamed.
Trust Talks: The Future of Journalism in a Digital World
On Thursday, October 19 at the Isabel Bader Theatre, you’re invited to a thought-provoking panel discussion, followed by an audience Q&A, and a networking reception.
CBC/Radio-Canada’s President and CEO, Catherine Tait will open the event, which will be moderated by CBC Ideas Host, Nahlah Ayed.
A panel of industry experts will explore the challenges facing journalists, including the impacts of Bill C-18, the rise of artificial intelligence, and the growing issue of polarization. The panel will also take a forward-looking approach, discussing next steps and what’s to come.
