Paul Chen is a 2022 Schmidt Science Fellow

Junior Fellow Paul Chen and alumna Elizabeth Phillips, have both recieved 2022 Schmidt Science Fellowships.

The Schmidt Science Fellowship is an international competition identifying and bringing together the world’s best emerging scientists to develop novel solutions to society’s challenges and accelerate ground-breaking discoveries. Paul and Elizabeth are two of 29 fellows, and the only Canadian recipients selected this year. They will each receive US $100,000 per year to pursue interdisciplinary postdoctoral studies at an institution of their choice. You may remember that Massey alumna Anastasia Korolj received this fellowship last year – again the only Canadian recipient.  You can read more about the fellowships here.

Massey College is encouraged to see that the interdisciplinary atmosphere of Massey College continues to inspire our Fellowship, and they are being recognized for their work in such distinguished international competitions.
