News and Events

Summer has arrived; the Quadrangle looks spectacular and we are enjoying the opportunity to spend some time together in the sunshine.

It is with mixed feelings that I must announce that Darlene Naranjo, the most competent Catering Manager ever and a wealth of wisdom at Massey for 27 years will retire in September. She will be deeply missed. Darlene is looking forward to spending more time with her family and plans to travel in the fall. We will celebrate her numerous contributions to Massey at a special event soon. I know you all join me in offering Darlene our warmest wishes for the next phase of her life. Thank you, Darlene.

Sadly, Alum Michael Danby-Smith passed away earlier this month. He was Don of Hall in 1971 and made many lasting contributions and friendships at Massey. You can read his obituary here. Please join me in sending our condolences to family and loved ones. I have also attached a scan of an essay he wrote for the Massey News in 2003. (Emily to attach scan from Andreea).
