Many are watching the Queen’s funeral today and remembering her dignity and commitment. We will observe a moment of silence at 1:00pm, and are looking forward to seeing you on October 5th to hear Master Emeritus John Fraser discuss the ceremony, the passing of the Queen and the accession to the throne of Charles III.

We pair Junior Fellows with Journalism and Senior Fellows, Quadrangle Society Members, and Alumni for a casual meal at Massey.

College Printer Kit MacNeil will be hosting two Volunteer Orientation Sessions for anyone interested in getting involved with the Bibliography Room. They will provide a tour of the room, cover health and safety essentials, and provide a brief introduction to setting type. This Orientation is required for anyone interested in volunteering on a regular basis over the academic year. Sessions will be limited to eight reservations each. On Monday, September 26th, we have our first Senior Fellow Luncheon of the year with Dr. Bob Bell who will speak to the state of our healthcare with Faster, Better, Smarter: Opportunities for Canadian Healthcare. Dr. Bell was Ontario’s Deputy Minister of Health and worked as President and Chief Executive Officer of University Health Network. RSVP to attend by September 22nd.

Quadrangle Society Member Jocelyn Allen passed away September 11.
Mrs. Allen very much enjoyed watching the online Massey College events over the past several years.
Junior Fellow Maeve Palmer has been nominated, alongside members of the ensemble of RUR, A Torrent Of Light (Tapestry Opera) for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble. The winner will be announced this evening at a ceremony in Toronto.
