I am proud to announce that Massey College is currently running a special non-resident Junior Fellow program for an elite group of female Afghan scholars who lost their access to education when the Taliban banned them from their universities. Our new Afghan Women’s Fellowship Program (AWFP) is open to students from any discipline, who were in their final years of study before the Taliban takeover. In September 2023, the AWFP welcomed its first cohort of ten exceptional junior scholars, offering them a new virtual academic home at Massey. Under the mentorship of our Senior Fellows, our talented AWFP colleagues are now applying for graduate studies at top tier academic institutions around the world.

Copies of Massey College’s literary and visual arts journal Audeamus 2023—organized by the JFs—are available in the porter’s lodge for $10 (cash or card). Covers are designed and printed in the Bibliography Room, and the books are bound and printed at local publishing company Coach House Press. They make an excellent holiday gift!
