Christine TranJunior Fellow, performer, publisher, PhD Student at the Faculty of Information
Christine H. Tran (they/she) is a PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Information. Their SSHRC-funded research explores the domestic experiences of gendered and/or racialized Twitch streamers in North America through a critical patchwork of virtual ethnographic methods and institutional analysis. Christine’s work on Internet culture, digital labour, and liveness in ludic media can be found in journals such as Television & New Media, New Media & Society and The Canadian Journal of Communication. They are a Graduate Fellow at the Centre for Culture & Technology and a Junior Fellow at Massey College.
