Presenting Your Paper at a Conference: Don’t Freak Out

Please note this event is exclusively for current Junior Fellows at Massey College.

Join Massey alumnus, Chris Graham from TellPeople for an interactive session focused on performance and public speaking. Participants will take turns asking their questions about how to become a better public speaker. Chris will lead a group discussion in response to each question. In this way you can get support from Chris but also your colleagues at Massey.

You can ask about anything you want in the session.

Examples of the kinds of things you might ask about include:

 – I have so much to share and only a small amount of time—what should I do?

 – How can I keep people engaged while also reading from my notes?

 – What happens if people ask questions and I don’t know the answer?

 – What if no one asks any questions?

 – How can I avoid just reading from my slides?
