Environmental Film Screening with Sir Graham Watson
Please join us for pizza and a film screening on Sunday, November 3rd with Environmentalist-in-Residence Sir Graham Watson.
We will be showing two short films:
The Power of Big Oil: Delay runs for 53 minutes and examines how the fossil fuel industry worked to delay the transition to renewable energy sources — including by promoting natural gas as a cleaner alternative.
SHE changes climate runs for 17 minutes and drives awareness on the crucial role of women in accelerating climate action.
Sir Graham Watson has published ten books and has written numerous papers and articles on politics, history, energy, the environment and security policy for national newspapers, think tanks and academic journals. He has undertaken extended lecture tours involving ten universities in each of Germany and the Republic of China. He was a Distinguished Visiting Fellow (2020-2022) and is now an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs & Policy, teaching a postgraduate course on the European Union.
His forty-year professional career has spanned interpreting and translation, educational administration, banking and – predominantly and most recently – politics. Learn more about Sir Graham here: Sir Graham Watson | The Munk School (utoronto.ca)
