Please join Professor Randy Boyagoda as he interviews Principal James Orbinski on the importance of creating conditions for respectful discussion, promoting shared understanding despite differences, and engaging with diverse viewpoints for the greater good.
Professor Randy Boyagoda is the University of Toronto’s first provostial adviser on civil discourse. A faculty member in the English department, vice-dean, undergraduate in the Faculty of Arts & Science and a Senior Fellow at Massey College, Boyagoda develops initiatives to promote respectful dialogue across the university’s three campuses. Boyagoda aims to foster civil discourse that encourages open, productive engagement on diverse topics.
