Chapel Explorations – Reconciliation Ten Years On: Where Are We?
“We have described for you a mountain. We have shown you the path to the top. We call upon you to do the climbing.” Senator Murray Sinclair, Chair of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada
It has been ten years since the report of the TRC was published. Its 94 Calls to Action apply to all levels of government and public life – but also to individuals. Where are you in your personal journey toward Reconciliation? Where do you seek resources? Are there lessons to be learned from struggles in other parts of the world?
Join us on Tuesday, February 10, 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the Chapel, for another in our series of Explorations. The format will be a Talking Circle, in which each person speaks in turn with personal reflections – not a debate, but a space to listen, to share, and to learn.
Massey Alumna Audrey Rochette will lead and moderate the circle. A member of the Wabadowgan/Whitesand First Nation, she is currently Assistant Vice-President, Indigenous Initiatives, at York University.
All are welcome – Junior and Senior Fellows, Quadranglers, Visiting Scholars, Journalism Fellows, Staff. Light refreshments will be served.
