Chapel Explorations – Darkness and Light
We are creatures of light, and darkness is often thought of as our adversary. As we approach the solstice, and the long nights of winter, many of us shrink inward, and brace for the cold, dark months to come. But winter is also a time of regeneration: without it there can be no spring, and without darkness there can be no light.
Join us in the Chapel, for another in our series of Explorations. Participants will be asked to briefly offer some thoughts about darkness and light in their lives. The format will be a Talking Circle, in which each person speaks in turn – not a debate, but a space to listen, to share, and to learn.
Elder Dorothy-Lee Sault of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation will lead and moderate the circle. All are welcome – Junior and Senior Fellows, Quadranglers, Visiting Scholars, Journalism Fellows, Staff. Light refreshments will be served.
