German Canadian Media Symposium

COVID-19 has seemingly impacted every aspect of our lives, forcing us into new forms of interaction, but also revealing disheartening fault lines in our society including institutionalized neglect in long-term care, inequities and stark racial and economic divides.  While we are still in the midst of re-thinking our routines, the toll on mental health, the economy, personal interactions and climate are already notable. With vaccines being a first response, we have to forge a better road ahead to counter the impacts of the pandemic on our society.

For the third time, the German Canadian Media Symposium (GCMS) is bringing outstanding media professionals from Germany and Canada together to discuss these crucial issues.  With a collaborative problem-solving approach, and the floor always open for questions and comments, we will explore a cross-pollination of perspectives and tools for media professionals from Germany and Canada.
