Massey Bike Ride – POSTPONED

The Massey Bike Ride is back! Health & Wellness Committee Chair Heywot Tadesse and Environmentalist-in-Residence Sir Graham Watson kindly invite you to join them in a two-hour bike ride designed to stretch both your muscles and your thinking about urban design with cyclists in mind. With the participation of an urban planner who will highlight different aspects of planning for cyclists, the ride will follow a carefully chosen route along the cycle lanes of Toronto to illustrate the potential for the crucial switch needed from fossil-fuel to human-powered transportation in urban areas.

Open to Fellows both senior and junior and to other members of the Massey Community, but limited for safety reasons to no more than 25 cyclists, riders will depart from the main gate at 10:00am on Saturday, October 19. The return is foreseen at 12:00pm noon in time for a communal lunch in the Massey Dining Hall for those wishing to dine. Please foregather at 9:45am to allow time for introductions and for the hiring of bikes through a bikeshare scheme. Those possessing bicycles should bring their bike and ideally a helmet.
