Massey Venture Society: Unexpected, Unconventional Wisdom: What I learned when I founded my startup in Toronto
Amazing ideas launch amazing startups. But what happens in between that moment of inspiration and the actual launch? Founders-to-be get a lot of advice about how to make it all happen. But conventional wisdom regarding the “right” way to secure funding, convince your first customers, iterate and invent is not always right. Sometimes the real story is about what was unexpected – it’s that unconventional wisdom that no one told you about, but that turned out to be right.
What surprising moments sparked your own startup success? The Massey Venture Society welcomes you to a vibrant panel discussion in the Upper Library, featuring:
- Chris LaBelle, co-Founder of Mosaic Manufacturing, a leader in 3-D printing,
- Rob Fraser, VP, Clinical Innovation and GM Advanced Clinical Solutions, Swift Medical, and
- Jeanue Chung, the founder and CEO of LUNR, which focuses on the manufacturing and launch of launch vehicles (rockets) on Canadian soil
A private dinner will be held with the panelists in the Private Dining room just following the discussion. As space for the dinner is limited, RSVPs for the dinner are required. If you would like to receive an invitation to the private dinner, please email Anne-Marie.
