Mental Health at Massey College

We invite you to join us for a panel discussion on student mental health. Learn about the different mental health services offered by UofT and how to more actively engage with mental health as a student. The panel is also looking forward to answering any questions related to mental health you may have as a student at UofT and a JF at Massey College.

Panellist Bios:

Dr. David Robertson teaches in the Faculty of Medicine and is director of inpatient psychiatry at St Michael’s Hospital. He was also a former junior fellow and is a current senior fellow and member of the Governing Board of Massey College.

Dr. Andrea Levinson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto. She is the Director, Psychiatric Care, Health & Wellness, at the University of Toronto, and is a staff psychiatrist /Student Mental Health Liaison the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). Over the past year, Dr. Levinson has served as the Clinical Lead on the tri-campus mental health redesign project. She is responsible for the provision and management of psychiatric services on campus and acts as a resource for the university community on mental health issues across the campus. Dr Levinson’s research interests include postsecondary student mental health, early intervention in the context of the emerging adult cohort, health professional wellness and resilience and mood disorders.

Lexi is a PhD candidate in Developmental Psychology and Education at OISE where she studies the onset and maintenance of mental health concerns among post-secondary students. She has been involved in numerous mental health initiatives at UofT including the SGS Mental Health Advisory Committee (MHAC), the InLight Student Mental Health Research Initiative, and the Graduate Wellness Network.

Karthik Ganesan is a PhD candidate in Computer Engineering and a JF at Massey. Karthik has been a member of several groups including: GradMinds, The Engineering Mental Wellness Commision, the SGS Mental Health Advisory Committee and most recently, the Graduate Wellness Network.

Participation in this seminar achieves the requirements for Pillar 5 in the Junior Fellows Professional Program: Develop self-awareness and well-being.
