Since its origins in the late 19th century, jazz has absorbed many influences and taken many forms. But in all its forms, improvisation – creation in the moment – is a defining element.

Guest artist Jemina Brechoire and Junior Fellow Sam Little, both part of a new generation of innovative jazz artists, share their insights and their music, in an evening that explores their own creative practices as well as current directions in 21st-century music performance.
