Bibliography Room
Tours & Printing Studio Visits
Guided tours are free of charge and approximately 30 minutes in length. Groups are limited to 10 participants, including the instructor. For larger groups, arrangements can be made to split the tour, schedule additional time slots, or provide a viewing of rare materials for those waiting.
Printing demonstrations and hands-on workshops are available for a fee and can be tailored to your group’s interests. Possible topics include letterpress printing, typesetting, iron hand press operation, typography, and the history of printing.
We kindly ask that participants arrive a few minutes early. Late arrivals are welcome but may disrupt the experience for the group. Your guide will meet you outside the front gate of Massey College, where the porter will direct you to the Bibliography Room in the Lower Library.
For tour bookings or inquiries related to the book collection, please contact library@masseycollege.ca. During the academic year, our Lead Printer, Stephen Sword, is on site Mondays and Wednesdays. Please note that he will be away for the summer as of May 1st. Any questions regarding the printing studio during this period may also be directed to the library email above.
