Don’s Welcome
Welcome to Massey College! My name is Jacob Pittini, and I have the pleasure and privilege of being your Don of Hall for 2026 to 2027! As Don, I am here to help support student life, advocate for our community, and work to make sure Massey is more than just a College, but also a home where everyone feels their voice matters and they truly belong.
Whether you’re a new Junior Fellow or a returning one, I’m so glad to have you here as part of our very special community full of amazing people. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us and all the meaningful connections and impacts you will make in your time at Massey!
Junior Fellow Events
This calendar features Junior Fellow specific events organized by the Lionel Massey Fund Committee (LMF), House Captains, or other Junior Fellows. These events are designed by Junior Fellows, for Junior Fellows. Check back regularly for updates!
All Junior Fellows are encouraged to organize and host events at the College. Use the form below to propose an event, or send an email to massey.lmf@gmail.com add your event to the calendar.
Governance and Student Life
One of the most impactful ways to contribute to student life at Massey is by serving on the various Governance, Service, and Enrichment Committees of the Junior Common Room (JCR). These are elected positions, with elections held each Fall and Spring. These roles are an opportunity to exercise leadership, bring new ideas to life, and represent the Fellowship on important matters. Refer to the Junior Fellow Guide for more information on each committee.

- Location
- Contact Person (Name and Email)
- Audience (e.g., exclusively for Junior Fellows, open to the full Massey community, or public-facing)

The Junior Fellow Newsletter is distributed each Friday, while the Senior Fellow Newsletter is shared on Tuesdays. To be included, all submissions must be received at least one week in advance. If you would like your event featured on Massey College’s social media channels, please tag us in your post and we will be happy to share it with our community.
Policies
- Members are responsible for both the set-up and clean-up of any space they book. If a space is left untidy, a $100 charge will be applied to your Massey account.
- If tech support, catering requests, bar or porter services are required, these must be arranged through Sarah Balm and will be billed to the individual who made the booking. These requests must be made a minimum of three weeks in advance of an event.
- This booking system is intended for use by Massey members only. Bookings made on behalf of individuals outside the Massey community will incur full charges, which will be billed to your Massey account. This may impact your ability to book future events.
- Room Set-Ups will be consistent. Upper Library in Panel style set up, JCR in “living room style” with couches.
