Junior Fellow Lecture Series October 19

The Junior Fellow Lecture Series showcases the exceptional breadth of scholarship within the Massey community. Junior Fellows present their research around a shared theme, bringing disciplines—from the hard sciences to the humanities—into conversation. Throughout the evening, the Massey community gathers over wine, coffee or tea, and sweets, with opportunities for conversation and connection across disciplines.

The Limits of Possibility, the Possibilities of Limits

Description:

Every system, whether natural or social, is confronted with constraints that define the boundaries of what is possible in a given circumstance. Constraints limit what can be done, but they can also become a source of resourcefulness and creativity. This dynamic recurs across the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. This JFLS invites contributions from Junior Fellows whose research highlights how creative responses to constraints, whether social, political, physical, biological, or otherwise, can become important sources of solutions and new possibilities.
