Principal’s Message – May 12, 2026

As we mark Asian Heritage Month in Canada, Massey College is delighted to announce a transformative donation of $500,000 from the Honourable Dr. Vivienne Poy and the Lee Tak Wai Foundation. This gift will endow the Richard Charles Lee Award (R C Lee Award) in Asian Studies, established in tribute to Madame Poy’s father, who was deeply committed to community, business, and education.

Asian perspectives are vital elements in the Canadian mosaic and can be nurtured for the public good. The RCLee Award in Asian Studies will be used to support Massey College Junior Fellows who study or research Asian perspectives in the arts, history, finance, politics, or science, as well as fund events focused on Junior Fellow’s Asian-focused research or study.

Massey College is honoured to celebrate this rich family legacy through such valuable support to our Junior Fellowship.
