On Thursday, September 17, we were honoured to welcome Alannah Weston, Amy Buskirk, and Michele Whitcombe from The Hilary and Galen Weston Foundation to Massey College.
For the past four years, The Hilary and Galen Weston Foundation has been a valued and steadfast supporter of Massey College through The Hilary and Galen Weston Foundation Climate Change Bursaries. Awarded annually, these Bursaries support Junior Fellows whose academic research, community involvement and leadership, and career aspirations are focused on advancing solutions to the climate and biodiversity crises.
This commitment reflects the vision shared by the late The Hon. Hilary M. Weston, who remarked, “It has been my pleasure to be a Senior Fellow of Massey College since 2002, and I am delighted that The Hilary and Galen Weston Foundation is able to help more students join this special community. I’m confident that the knowledge and skills they will gain as they pursue their studies will benefit Canada and the world.” Her words speak to the enduring spirit of this partnership: investing in the next generation of scholars and leaders whose knowledge, skills, and commitment can help shape a better future for Canada and the world.
