This event is brought to you by T-CAIREM’s Education Trainee Co-Lead and Massey College’s AI and Human Societies Co-Chair, Abhishek Moturu.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming health care—from the way clinicians make decisions and researchers generate new knowledge to how health systems deliver care. But what does this transformation mean for patients, health-care professionals, and the future of medicine?

Join Massey College and the Temerty Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research and Education in Medicine (T-CAIREM) for an engaging afternoon conversation exploring the opportunities, challenges, and implications of AI in health.

The panel will bring together three leading voices working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, medicine, research, and health-system innovation: Dr. Muhammad Mamdani, Director of T-CAIREM and Clinical Lead for AI at Ontario Health, who is promoting widespread AI adoption across Ontario; Dr. Anna Goldenberg, Research Co-Lead at T-CAIREM and Co-Lead for AI Service at SickKids AI, who is leading research in biomedical informatics and responsible AI; and Dr. Fahad Razak, physician-scientist and co-founder of GEMINI (the largest hospital research network in Canada), who is co-leading the expansion of GEMINI to become pan-Canadian platform called “VITAL” that will cover 50% of the Canadian population through a $110M investment from federal and provincial sources.

The panel discussion will consider where AI is already making a difference, where its greatest potential lies, and the questions we must grapple with as these technologies become increasingly integrated into health care. The event will offer an opportunity for members of the Massey and University of Toronto communities to engage directly with leading researchers and clinicians shaping the future of AI in medicine.

Join us for an afternoon of conversation, questions, and discussion about the future of health care in the age of AI.

We invite attendees to join us for a reception in the Upper Library post-panel to keep the conversation going.
